Retirement still hasn't been retirement yet. For some reason, there are too many chores to do at home with our garden, helping the mother-in-law, ect. We don't get in the traveling made very often. Maybe next Year. Grace and I celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary this year Our three sons are still in Des Moines, Waterloo, and Virginia. One grandson, born with asphyxia, passed away in 2001 at the age of four. We now have a 3 year old granddaughter who gets a lot of attention2000
CAREER AND SPOUSE’S CAREER
After graduation, I went to the Army for 6 months and was in the reserves for several years. I farmed for 3 years and then decided to become an Electronics Technician. After assembling Falcons for 4 months, I enrolled in Central Technical Institute in K.C. and graduated in Sept. 1962. I immediately started working for Collins Radio Co. (which later turned into Rockwell International) in Cedar Rapids, IA.
I retired in September of 1995.
