I worked in the Printing/Bindery industry following high school until my retirement about five years ago.  I started as a machine operator in the Kansas City area and worked up to a supervisory position.  A St. Louis company purchased the company, which prompted a move to Collinsville, IL.  The company was not in a financially sound position and shortly after the move saw the "handwriting-on-the-wall."  I joined another bindery company and worked with them until I was in a position to retire.  Betty, my wife of fifteen years, and I moved to the Denver, CO area in 2001.  We really enjoy the area and spend as much time outdoors as we can.  We have an RV and ATV and it is not that uncommon for us to camp in the mountains, sometimes in the 10,000 to 12,000 foot range.

I have three children and six grandchildren.  Theresa is 42 and is an attorney.  She and her husband, who is a professor of law at the University of Denver, have two children, Max 9, and Amelia 7.  My son Patrick, 38, also lives in the Denver area.  He and his wife had their first child, Ella, in October 2005.  My youngest daughter lives in the Kansas City and has three children, Christian 14, Darren 12 and Clista 8.
