Allan R. Crum, 74, Overland Park, Kan., passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 9, 2011. Allan was born April 19, 1937, in Liberty, Mo. A visitation will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at The Wesley Covenant Chapel at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Allan was a football and basketball star in Liberty which led to a football scholarship to Montana State. Throughout his life, Allan served in the Army, owned and managed a John Deere implement dealership, ran a farm, and built homes for so many families in North and South Kansas City. He was a good neighbor to all, a hard worker and most especially a committed family man, which he would say was his greatest accomplishment. Allan will be missed deeply by his family. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marylou; daughter, Cynthia Zamora, son, Phill Crum (Jenny); siblings, Ann Lemon (Lyons) Janice Sanders, James Crum (Zan); grandchildren, Michael Zamora, Gretchen and Lucy Crum.
