Arlene (Thomas) Mohler Born on August 21, 1935 in Liberty, MO to Pauline and George Thomas. Arlene was a graduate of Liberty High School class of 1953. She graduated from William Jewell College in 1956 with a BA degree with an emphasis in Elementary Education. Arlene taught at Franklin Elementary School in Liberty, MO for one year before marrying N.G. “Nip” Mohler and moving to St. Louis. She taught 3rd grade at Henry Hough Elementary from 1957-1960 and later served as a substitute teacher in the Kirkwood R7 School District before teaching full-time at the campus school for the Evangelical Children’s Home from 1983 to 1990. She and Nip retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1991. Arlene taught dance as a young woman in Liberty and later joined Barbara Bryan’s Clogging group in Sunrise Beach, Missouri. She was a past member of the Ambassador’s of the West Lake Chamber of Commerce and the West Lake New Comers. Arlene was a former member of Webster Groves Christian Church and an active member and former Elder and board Moderator at West Lake Christian Church. She was a talented seamstress and avid reader all her adult life. Arlene was the beloved wife of Nip, mother of Christopher Thomas Mohler (Ann), Cheryl Wingbermuehle (Jack Kinney), and Caroline Lasho (George), grandmother of Victoria Shepherd (Andrew), Jason and Colleen Lasho, Samuel, Emily and Sarah Mohler, niece, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents Pauline (nee Jones) and George Thomas and brother Raymond Thomas.
