Betty G. Way, 74, of Liberty died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at Liberty Hospital. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kearney. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

She was born Sept. 12, 1931, to William Lafayette and Ida Mae (Cox) Dickey. She was a cook for Liberty Public Schools for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Way, in 1994, sister Eula McAndrews in 2003 and brother William Dickey in 1986.

She is survived by her son, Brian Keith Alexander and wife, Debborah Kay, of Phoenix, daughter, Debbie Dampier and husband, Jeff, of Liberty, five grandchildren, Dustin Dampier, Derek Dampier Danyel Dampier, Shawn Timblin and Christina Timblin, great-granddaughter Katarina Timblin, great-grandson Wyatt Timblin and great-granddaughter Christina Timblin
