Betty “Baha” Jean Britton, 81, of Harviell, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Britton was born on Jan. 20, 1935 in Coulter, Iowa. She worked as a secretary and enjoyed doing crafts, visiting with friends and family, traveling, and setting on the back porch looking at nature. Betty attended St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Corning, Ar. and served as Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of Laureate Epsilon Tau, Beta Sigma Phi. Betty enjoyed life to its fullest. Spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and attending their ball games and school activities. She never met a stranger and welcomed all with a hug. On Sept. 8, 1956 she married Ray Curtis Britton. He survives. Also surviving are, 2 daughters, Pat Pennington and husband Gary of Harviell, Lynn Sheppard and husband Bobby of Harviell; grandchildren, Jeremy Pennington and wife Jennifer of Gardner Kansas, Justin Pennington of Harviell, Mo., Brooke and Ashley Sheppard of Harviell, Mo.; and great-grandchildren, Oliver Pennington of Gardner Kansas, Lauren and Cooper Pennington of Harviell, Mo. Services will take place on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016 at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with funeral beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will take place at Kinsey Cemetery.
