William H. "Bill" Crawford, 80, a lifelong Liberty resident, passed away August 11, 2017. Bill was born Dec. 24, 1936, in Liberty, MO to Budd and Mary (Hash) Crawford. He graduated from Liberty High School and enlisted in the Marines. Following honorable discharge in 1960, he worked for Ford Motor Company until he retired in September, 1990. Bill's hobbies were fishing and hunting. He was a life member of the VFW Post 4043 and a member of UAW Local 249. Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by brother, Edward Crawford and sister, Maxine Summers. He is survived by his wife, Janice; son, William "Tony" Crawford and his wife Miranda; grandson, Lance Cpl. (USMC) William Matthew Crawford; brothers, Jim Crawford and Buddy Crawford; sister, Marie Short and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a service celebrating Bill's life at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Burial with military honors in Fairview Cemetery, Kearney, MO.
