Bill L. Freeman, of Olathe, KS, passed away Feb. 16, 2005. Visitation will be held on Fri., Feb. 18, from 6-8 p.m., in Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, followed by a memorial service on Sat., Feb. 19, 11:30 a.m., at Heritage Presbyterian Church, (155th and Blackbob), Olathe. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Heritage Presbyterian Church Music Program, 15550 S. Lackman Rd., Olathe, KS, 66062. Bill was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Hemple, MO, to James and Georgia Freeman. He served our country in the U.S. Army prior to graduating from Rockhurst College in 1963. Bill married Sharon Mack on Sept. 1, 1957, in Liberty, MO, and to this union three children were born. In 1987, Bill retired from I.B.M. after 33 years of service. Bill enjoyed golfing, traveling and blacksmithing. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon; his daughters, Laura Zablin and Paula (Richard) Slater; his grandchildren, Joe Zablin, and Amber and Hannah Slater. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Meek; his brothers, Charles Freeman, and Eldon Freeman. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott; and his brother Howard.
