William L. Sales, 73, a lifelong resident of Liberty, passed away November 6, 2011. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. followed by a service celebrating Bill's life at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Liberty United Methodist Church, 1001 Sunset, Liberty. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the church or to the family to assist with expenses. Bill was born July 2, 1938, in Liberty, MO, the son of William Andrew and Hattie Jacobs Sales. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1963 during the Berlin crisis, and was a former member of the Liberty VFW Post 4043. He worked for Goodyear for 22 years, retiring as a warehouse manager. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary; children, Bill Sales and Cindy Conner (Doug); grandchildren, Chris, Abbie, Jake, Samantha, Cole, Robby, Blaine; great grandchildren, Dallas, Paytin, Reganne, Brooklyn, Jayson; sisters, Sally Smith (Bill) and Judy Crooks; as well as other family and friends. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a wonderful neighbor. He will be greatly missed. Arrangements: Park Lawn Northland Chapel, (816) 781-8228.
