Don R. Cowan, 67, of Kansas City North, passed away October 17, 2003, at his lake home in Camdenton, MO. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, and funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at M-291 Hwy., Liberty. Burial will be in Glenridge Cemetery. Don was born November 5, 1935, in Clay County, MO. He served in the U.S. Army. Don worked 34 years for Southwestern Bell Telephone. He was a member of the Tower View Baptist Church as well as the National Rifle Association. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Elaine; son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Stacy Cowan; daughter and son-in-law Stacey and Steve Brooks; mother Edyoith Cowan; two sisters, Joyce Norwood and Janice Dye; three grandchildren, Cody, Jared, and Mariah, and twin grandchildren due in March 2004. Don was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa. He will be missed by his loving family and friends.
