Dorrie Wells, 77, of Bradley passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. She was born on October 20, 1940 in Liberty, MO, the daughter of William and Josephine (Pennington) Mace. Dorrie married John Wells on December 14, 1975 in Martinsville, IL.
After receiving her Real Estate License, Dorrie sold Real Estate for over 25 years until her retirement. She was a former President and Director for the County Board of Realtors. She was an avid golfer, participating on multiple golf leagues. Dorrie also enjoyed travelling and spending time with her granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband John Wells of Bradley; two sons Michael (Debra) Biermann of Ashkum and Todd Wells of Geneva; one daughter Deborah Anderson of Boston, MA; one brother Jim (Karen) Mace of MO; and two granddaughters Erin (Macon England) Anderson of Boston, MA and Lilah Wells of Geneva.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Jody McLaughlin and one brother Daniel Mace.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 2pm until the 5pm funeral service at Schreffler Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Memorials may be made to Arthritis Foundation, American Cancer Society or Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
