Emma Lou Jones, 83, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. followed by funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW Third Street, Lee's Summit, Mo. Burial will follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery, 25203 East 50 Hwy., Lee's Summit. The family suggests memorial gifts to support the Children's Ministry of Summit Woods Baptist Church. Em was born Nov. 8, 1932, in LaPlata, Mo., to Oscar and Emma Ferril. Em grew up in Liberty, Mo., where she graduated from Liberty High School in 1950. She graduated from William Jewell College in 1954 with a degree in Elementary Education. Em married Truman Jones on March 2, 1956. Em was preceded in death by her husband, Truman, and her sister, Anne Shade. Em is survived by her children, Rick and Karlene Jones, Lee's Summit, and Phil Jones, Harrisonville, Mo.; grandchildren, Hanna and Jesse Culbertson, Abby Jones, Lewis and Becky Jones, Chad and Brandy Jones, Clint and Megan Jones, Emma Jones and Katie Jones; great grandchildren, Brezlynn Jones, Liam Jones, Ellie Jones, and Truman Culbertson.
