Bronaugh G. (Jerry) Wagner a lifelong resident of Liberty, Missouri left
this world on September 15, 2005. He chose to live the last four years of his
life in Auburn, California to be with his children and grandchildren. Jerry and
his twin brother Jack (Garland D. Wagner), currently of Lott, Texas, were born
August 6, 1930 in Liberty to Garland Bronaugh Wagner and Venice Gretchen
Admire. His younger brother, James Edward Wagner preceded him in death in 1981.
Jerry was a third generation Wagner to live in Liberty. His grandparents,
Willis Grant Wagner and Ottie Mae Buchanan moved to Liberty from Smyth County,
Virginia about 1898. On a farm just outside of Liberty, they raised their four
sons, Garland, William, Harmon and Russell. Jerry married Delta Mitchell in
1951 and had three children: his daughter Debra Lynn lives with her husband
Lawrence Grilli in Newcastle, California; his son Jerry Wayne Wagner lives in
Grass Valley, California with his wife Teena; and his daughter Julie Ann and
her husband Alan Bycroft live in Grass Valley, California. Jerry managed the
old Plaza Theater during the 50's and 60's and was known by many people, young
and old. He retired from Executive Beechcraft at Kansas City International
Airport in 2000. He was an honorary member of the Liberty VFW Post # 4043
"Dads" during the 70's and 80's while married to his second wife, Virginia. He
had eight grandchildren; Nikki and Sean Craven of Auburn, California; Jamie
Madsen of Denver, Colorado; Jerry and Garrett Wagner of Independence, Missouri;
Joleen Giuliani of Davis, California; Ashlie and Robert Bycroft of Grass
Valley, California. Five great-grandchildren: Brooke, Hailee, Caleb, Parker,
and Aidan (due any day) with two more soon to be born. Jerry will be deeply
missed by his family. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, September 22
from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, 1640 N. SR 291,
Liberty, MO. Services will be held Friday, September 23 at 10 a.m. at Park
Lawn.
