Joe Hendren, 67, of Potomac, MD passed away Saturday, January 22, 2005.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 26 from 6pm to 8pm at Newcomer's Stine and
McClure Chapel, 3235 Gillham Plaza, Kansas City, Missouri 64109. A private
burial will be held Friday morning followed by a memorial service at Country
Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO, at 2pm. A reception
will follow Joe was born August 11, 1937 in Kansas City to Glenn W. and Anne H.
Hendren. He was raised in Liberty, MO and graduated from Liberty High School. He
then attained degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard
Business School. Joe served two years in the Army before resuming his career in
finance and insurance. He lived in Mission Hills, with his wife, Mary Anne, and
family for 35 years. He was a Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Life
Underwriter. He retired from Employees Reinsurance Corporation. He was a former
member of The Rockhill Tennis Club and Milburn Country Club. His parents, his
wife, Mary Anne, and his brother Dr. Thomas H. Hendren preceded him in death.
His two sons, James J. of Colorado Springs and Dr. John W. of Arlington, VA and
