Julian ("Jack") M. Bemiss passed away on his 79th birthday, January 23, 2011 at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, CA with his family at his side. He died from complications of pneumonia after extensive heart surgery in October.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Patricia ("Patty") Hudson Bemiss, son Jeffrey (Jennifer), daughter Julia, grandchildren Anna, Becky, and Guy, and many dear nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Judith Napoli. He is greatly missed by all. A loving husband, father, and friend, he developed many wonderful relationships over the years with his gentle nature, kindness, and charm, as well as his love of golf.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 30 from 2-5 p.m. at the childhood home of his wife and her brother Philip Hudson at 3415 Rolston Street in Fort Wayne.
