Kenneth Everett Hayes, 84, of Liberty, MO, passed away November 15, 2020, at Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be held from10:30-11:30 am Thursday, November 19, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Graveside services will follow at noon at Glenridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House or to Children's Mercy Hospital.

Kenny was born December 9, 1935, in Liberty, MO, to Everett Samuel and Thelma Pearl (Barber) Hayes. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1954 and served in the U.S. Army from 1959 until honorable discharge in 1962. Kenny was united in marriage to Mavis Ricketts on January 12, 1963. He worked in building maintenance many years, retiring from Guy's Foods.

Along with his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Richard Hayes. Survivors include his wife, Mavis; children, Cindy Ernst, Don Hayes (Shawna) and Ron Hayes (Paula); grandchildren, T.J. Ernst (Christi), Logan Hayes (Breanna), Shannon Hayes, Nicole Larm (Kyle), Austin Hayes (Brianna), Katie Ernst and James Hayes; three great grandchildren, Keegan, Jackman and Hazel; a sister, Helen Bechtel; and many nieces and nephews.
