Martha Ann (Simrall) Anderson, 69, passed away peacefully at the Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo., on July 11, 2010. Martha was born Jan. 1, 1941, in Liberty, Mo. She attended Liberty High School and continued her education at William Jewell College with a degree in Elementary Education. She earned her Master's degree from Mid America Nazarene College. Martha taught at various levels from Kindergarten to Junior High in Kearney, Mo., Kansas City, and retiring from the Olathe School District in 2003. The children she taught and came in contact with were actually her inspiration. She dedicated over 30 years of her life doing what she loved most, teaching the youth. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Lemar and Barbara Moberly and one son, Daniel Nicholas Glynos. She is survived by her children, Monique Glynos of Lawrence, Kan., and Niki Glynos-Wolford and husband Patrick of Montana; sister, Mary Alice Werp of Lenexa, Kan.; brother, Bill Moberly and family of Liberty; six grandsons; two great grandsons and one great granddaughter. A visitation celebrating Martha's life will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice House or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Association.
