Clifford M. "Pete" Mose, age 72, of Liberty, Missouri passed away peacefully at his home in Liberty, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be Friday, August 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, 1001 Sunset, Liberty, Missouri. Burial will be in Glenridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:30 Thursday, at the First Presbyterian Church, 138 N. Main St. Liberty, Missouri. Anderson Mose. Most of his school years were spent in the Liberty Public Schools where he graduated in the Class of 1953. He participated in football, basketball and for many years, held the high jump record at Liberty High School. His interest in Liberty High School sports continued for many years. He had a prime seat running the time clock for basketball and in the press box spotting for football games. In January of 1954 Pete and his father "Pop Mose" established C.M. Mose & Son Electric. They began working out of the trunk of Pete's car until their first white truck was purchased. Pete was extremely proud of the third generation business which continues to flourish. On March 4, 1954 the First Presbyterian Church in Liberty was the site of the wedding of Pete and Nancy Morrow, his high school sweetheart. Pete was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Liberty where he served as a deacon. He served on the City Electrical Board for Liberty and was a member of the Missouri National Guard. Through the years Pete enjoyed bowling, square dancing, recycling, playing cards, traveling, cruises, Boy Scouts, Mic-O-Say, weekends at the Lake of the Ozarks and trips with the family to Florida. One of his greatest joys was seeing the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Norma Wisemore Fields. Pete is survived by his wife, Nancy Morrow Mose. His children Sheila Mose Baker and husband Ricky Baker, Marsha Mose and partner Gina Maree and Roger Mose and wife Darla O'Dell Mose. His grandchildren Amanda Ryan Baker, Pamela Ann Baker, Ryan Eric Mose and Delaney Elise Mose. His sisters Gladys Mose McCracken, Patricia Mose Shelby and husband Marvin and Nancy Mose Yearsley and husband Jim. His brothers E. Walter Wisemore and Darrell Dean Wisemore and wife Helen, all residing in the Greater Kansas City area, along with many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
