John Wayne Keller, 83, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away Sunday October
10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. John was born on June 27, 1938 to
John and Mary (Tyler) Keller at their home in Liberty. He graduated from North
Kansas City High School in 1956 and right after graduation, joined the Army
Reserves. On May 21, 1960 he married Judith Ann Adams at the old St. James
Catholic Church in Liberty, MO. John worked most of his life for Safeway and
later retired from the business as a manager. He loved spending time with his
family going on vacations to Colorado, Lake of the Ozarks on camping trips,
spending time fishing. John was a social butterfly and truly enjoyed visitors,
and when he didn’t have someone visiting he was part of his church group and
also the Silver Center group. He was of course the #1 fan of John Wayne and had
all his movies. John enjoyed spending time outside in his garden, and mowing.
Most of all John cherished the times he spent with his family and spoiling the
grandkids and eventually the greats. He is preceded in death by both parents,
and two sisters; Sue Serna and Billie Chisam. John is survived by his children;
Tim ( Lisa) Keller of Kansas City, MO, Laurie (Milton) Arndt of Kansas City, MO,
Jennifer Keller of Maysville, MO, Deborah Keller of Excelsior Springs, MO, and
Joshua (Megan) Keller of Kansas City, MO. Also surviving are nine grandchildren,
14 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation and Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 23, 2021
starting at 11:00 AM at the Church~Archer~Pasley Fuenral Home 119 E. Frankin
St., Liberty, MO. Burial will be in the Fairview Newhope Cemetery. The family
requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Heart
Association in John’s name.
