Dwayne and I will celebrate our 47th Wedding Anniversary this year. We have 2 daughters. Linda age 38, LHS Class of '86, WJC Class of '90, is an Account Coordinator of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City. She lives in Kansas City. Kristen age 42, LHS Class of '82, WJC Class of '89 is married to Charles Johnson WJC Class of '83. Charles is the Logistics Manager for Hogan Services Inc. They currently live in Lake St. Louis, MO and our grandson Bryan is 17, a junior at Wentzville High School & a letterman in Tennis. |
I graduated from Augustana Hospital School of Nursing, Chicago, Illinois in 1959. I went to work for Glenn Hendren MD and Richard Bowles MD. I worked in the Family Practice office 8 years. This meant I was a nurse, lab tech, EKG tech, Xray tech, OR Assistant and Home Health Nurse. In 1970 I went to work at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital nights Med-Surg. Whe Liberty Hospital opened 1974 I was a member of the original staff. I worked Critical Care for 12 1/2 years and have my Critical Care certification. I left Critical Care August of '86 to create the Presurgery Testing Department which gave me the title Admitting Nurse Coordinator. I retired April 1999 after 25 years at Liberty Hospital.
Dwayne LHS Class of '54 was in the Navy 4 years. He did work for insurance and Sinclair before becoming a Bank Examiner for the State of Missouri 10 years and the Federal Reserve 18 years. He retired September '94. Dwayne is a radio control airplane builder and flyer. This hobby has taken us a variety of places around the country. We have traveled to almost all of the 50 states.
